We’re looking for a Civil Designer & Civil Drafter to join our team based in our Northern Sydney head office. Responsibilities The Civil Designers play an integral role in helping tackle & resolve complex civil engineering design problems. Our designers assist project teams in Civil Engineering design, project management and in defining design parameters, develop civil engineering models and work alongside other civil engineering designers throughout project life cycles. The Civil Drafters lead the design and documentation of major civil projects, including road & drainage works & building infrastructure, ideally within a digital delivery environment. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of project delivery and guide a team in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering or Technical College qualification (Advance Diploma Civil Engineering or approved equivalent) Demonstrated experience (at least 5-7+ years) in a similar role with a comprehensive understanding of Civil Engineering, including a strong knowledge of Roads, Stormwater Drainage and Earthworks Design. Competency in Autodesk Civil 3D software and an ability to develop Civil 3D or 12d Road Surfaces, Pipes and Earthworks Models to TTW national standardised frameworks. Relevant TAFE qualification or equivalent, coupled with demonstrated experience (ideally 5-7+ years) in a similar role. Understanding of Austroads, BCA and relevant Australian Standards is advantageous. Ability to read and implement local state standards. Ability to co‑coordinate existing & proposed utilities. Ability to interrogate information & data prior to commencing drafting with a keen eye for design parameters. Proficient in the use of Civil 3D for drafting major projects utilising a National Systemised framework for all aspects of the drawing set.
