About the Role Rabobank’s Operations Payments & Processing team, part of the COO Domain’s Operations area, plays a vital role in delivering smooth, reliable payment experiences for our clients. We are looking for proactive & detail‑oriented Payments Officers to join our Sydney‑based team. The role offers a hybrid work model combining office and home flexibility. The position reports to the Team Leader, Payments. Opportunities exist to develop broader skills in payments processing & authorisation as we continue to enhance our operations. Adaptability and a willingness to learn are key to success. Role Accountabilities Deliver exceptional customer service and build trusted relationships. Process a variety of transactions – automatic payments, telegraphic transfers, deposit setups, breaks, and interest adjustments. Manage trace requests and unposted items. Uphold risk and quality standards across all interactions. Investigate and escalated incidents or complaints when needed. Review data sets and reconcile accounts. Collaborate in team meetings to enhance the overall customer experience. Contribute to process improvements and participate in cross‑training initiatives to support team flexibility. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications 2+ years’ experience in banking operations or payments. Knowledge of Australian transactional banking processes highly regarded. Customer‑first mindset with excellent communication skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Comfortable learning new systems and adapting to process changes. Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Team player with a collaborative approach. Resilient, proactive attitude.
