We’re expanding our Business Development team and looking for a sharp, analytical Business/M&A Analyst to support our acquisition pipeline and strategic growth projects. If you love diving into numbers, spotting trends, and turning complex financial data into meaningful insights, this role will put you at the heart of one of the country’s most active acquisition environments. About the Role Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in assessing acquisition opportunities, completing financial due diligence, and supporting budgeting, forecasting and business case development. Your analysis will directly influence commercial decisions and shape AVC’s continued national expansion. Key Responsibilities Analyse target venue financials and convert into AVC’s internal P&L format Identify risks, trends, synergies and operational improvement opportunities Benchmark targets against comparable AVC venues Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure a smooth due diligence process Prepare clear, well-referenced analysis and business case summaries for leadership Budgeting & Forecasting Analyse venue trends to support annual budget setting Build analytical models to assess revenue, labour, and overhead run rates Assist with budgeting tool inputs (Adaptive Insights) Create budgets for newly acquired venues and overlay brownfield redevelopment targets Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate closely with Finance, Business Development, and other internal teams Present insights clearly and support decision-makers with high-quality analysis What You’ll Bring Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance Minimum 3 years’ experience in a mid-tier/large accounting firm or similar commercial role Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail High drive, initiative and the ability to manage competing deadlines Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business Due diligence experience advantageous but not essential Why Join AVC?
