Vet Nurse I – Gladesville Veterinary Hospital Experienced Veterinary Nurse – Full Time Gladesville Veterinary Hospital Are you an experienced Veterinary Nurse looking to take the next step in your career? Gladesville Veterinary Hospital is seeking a qualified, compassionate, and skilled nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. About the Role This is a full‑time position for an experienced Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV required) with 2–5+ years of vet nursing experience post‑qualification. You will work closely with our veterinarians and report to the Head Nurses, Lead Vet, and Practice Manager. Your role will be varied and rewarding – no two days are the same You’ll rotate between clinical nursing, surgical support, inpatient care, nurse consults, and reception. Key Responsibilities Assist vets during consults, procedures, and surgery. Perform nurse consults such as: dental assessments, follow‑up injections (e.g., Beransa, Cytopoint), weight checks and preventive health‑care discussions. Monitor anaesthetics and provide excellent inpatient care. Support clients with outstanding customer service and compassion. Cover reception duties when required, including bookings, payments, and client communication. What We’re Looking For Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (essential). At least 2–5 years’ nursing experience post‑qualification (essential). Confident in both clinical and client‑facing roles. Comfortable performing nurse consults and supporting surgical/medical cases. A team player with excellent communication and time‑management skills. Compassionate, professional, and dedicated to patient and client care. Hours Full‑time, rotating shifts for fairness. Morning shifts start as early as 7:30 am and evening shifts are rostered to finish at 7:00 pm. Availability for 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:00 am–5:00 pm) is required. Why Join Us?
