Child Health Nurse – Regional WA Contract Roles | $85–$90 per hour + Super (DOE) | Travel & Accommodation Provided Are you a Registered Nurse with postgraduate qualifications in Child Health looking for your next adventure? Do you want to make a genuine difference to the lives of children, families and communities in regional Western Australia? We are working with a number of Aboriginal Medical Services across Western Australia, who are seeking passionate Child Health Nurses to join their teams on a locum basis's. These positions offer the chance to deliver vital health services to Aboriginal families and communities in some of WA’s most remarkable regions, from the East Kimberley to the Coral Coast, and beyond. What’s on offer with DNA? Contracts ranging from 8 weeks to 6 months All travel and accommodation covered Some of our clients also offer paid travel days, overtime, penalty rates and on-call allowances Attractive pay rates of $85–$90 per hour + super (DOE) Work within supportive AMS environments alongside GPs, allied health, and local Aboriginal staff A dedicated consultant (me) there with you every step of the way Key responsibilities Provide clinical care, health checks, immunisations and health promotion for children aged 0–5 years and up Support families through culturally safe education and advocacy Work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Maintain accurate and confidential patient records (paper & electronic) Deliver community-based programs focused on child development and wellbeing Requirements Australian unrestricted working rights Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and / or Midwife Postgraduate qualification in Child Health Expert knowledge of the WA Immunisation Schedule Strong knowledge of Child Health practices and theories Understanding of child development in the context of Aboriginal children in WA Ability to work independently in regional / remote settings National Police Clearance, WA Working with Children Check & Driver’s Licence These opportunities are ideal for Maternal & Child Health Nurses seeking a rewarding role where your skills truly make a difference, while experiencing the unique lifestyle of regional WA.
