We are currently seeking highly motivated and experienced Security Officers / Loss Prevention Officers for a major retail store in Cairns, QLD 4870 . Requirements Valid QLD Security Officer Licence First Aid Certificate Must be locally based in Cairns or nearby Full working rights and availability Monday to Friday , with flexibility for weekend work Reliable transport (car preferred) Key Responsibilities Protect store staff and stock, minimising shrinkage at all times Remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift Present a valid security licence when requested Liaise and coordinate with store management regarding any special tasks Complete incident reports accurately and promptly Greet customers and staff, maintain eye contact, hand out catalogues/baskets Conduct polite bag checks as required Monitor and respond to suspicious behaviour and visual theft What We Offer Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual Pay Rate: $29.79 – $41.87 per hour Expected Hours: Up to 30 hours per week (potentially up to 40 hours based on performance) Professional development opportunities Penalty rates and performance bonuses Schedule Options Day, afternoon, or evening shifts 4–10 hour shift durations Monday to Friday with weekend availability Qualifications (Preferred) Minimum 1 year experience in security or protective services First Aid Certificate QLD Security Licence Location In-person, Cairns QLD 4870Must be able to reliably commute or relocate prior to starting.
