Overview Join to apply for the Structural Engineer role at BG&E . The BG&E Building Team provides comprehensive design services to a range of sectors from commercial, education, healthcare, and residential. Our offering is underpinned through the utilisation of BG&E’s extensive local knowledge, leveraging off our diverse proficiency in concrete, structural steel, masonry, and timber structures. Working with us provides you with variety. We work alongside a diverse range of clients, from private asset owners, contractors, and state government agencies. The Role As part of the design team, you will be working in collaboration with other principal and senior level engineers and be responsible for delivering solutions across a wide variety of engineering projects. Primarily technical in nature, the role will include some project management and business development functions as required as well as providing opportunities to progress over time into a more senior role within the business. Key Accountabilities Preparation of detailed calculations for a variety of building structural systems and elements Operation of analytical models and contributing to running complex models Preparation of sketches and technical reports Review of structural documentation Coordination of designs with other project team consultants Participation in internal design team meetings and in external meetings with the client and other consultants Visits to construction and project sites to perform site inspections and to provide observation reports and supporting engineering advice Supports and manages elements of projects Supports in identification of opportunities for follow on work and contributes to bids and proposal development Qualifications Relevant engineering qualifications and be a Chartered Engineer or already working towards chartership At least 4 years of experience in building design and engineering practices Client liaison experience Capability to perform planning, concept and detailed design Based in Perth Life at BG&E Competitive remuneration Flexible working Health and wellbeing support Paid Parental Leave All the benefits that come from working in a global multidisciplinary consultancy alongside industry recognised peers in an environment where fresh ideas and enthusiasm are welcomed and rewarded Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Engineering and Information Technology #J-18808-Ljbffr
