This part‑time position supports consumers to remain living independently within their community. The role involves delivering quality domestic, personal care, and social support services that align with each consumer’s specific needs and preferences, while incorporating their rights, cultural, spiritual, and individual needs into all aspects of care and daily living. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with shopping, banking and bill paying on consumers’ behalf. Assist with meals as required, including preparation and cooking. Supervise and assist with personal hygiene, showering, toileting, fitting/removing continence aids, fitting and changing catheters, dressing/undressing, grooming, oral care, and fitting hearing aids. Provide assistance to residents to enable them to get in and out of bed, and help ambulating residents or maneuvering wheelchairs or equipment. Liaise with doctors and emergency services when necessary. Organise appointments and escort to appointments or outings as required. Assist and supervise with professionally determined exercises. Perform simple wound dressing. Assist with or prompt medication. Maintain general household cleaning in kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. Provide social support. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent. Current First Aid certificate. Current CPR certificate. Current Class C Driver’s licence. Knowledge of the Commonwealth’s Aged Care Industry Aged Care Quality Standards. Use of a registered and fully insured motor vehicle suitable for older individual consumer transport. Strong communication and organisational skills. Current National Police Check or NDIS Workers Screening, or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement. #J-18808-Ljbffr
