The Opportunity We are seeking an exceptional Clarinet and Saxophone Tutor to join our vibrant and growing Music Program. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to inspire young musicians and contribute to a culture of artistic excellence within a supportive and collegial department.The role currently encompasses: Two hours of private instrumental tuition per week Four hours of group teaching within our Year 7 Program per week All teaching is scheduled on Thursdays, and availability on this day is essential We welcome applications from talented instrumental specialists who demonstrate strong pedagogical practice, a commitment to student centred learning, and a genuine passion for nurturing both skill and confidence in young musicians. Key Responsibilities Deliver high quality clarinet and saxophone instruction to individual students and small groups Teach within the Year 7 Instrumental Program, supporting beginner musicians with structured and engaging lessons Foster students’ musicality, technical development, and disciplined practice habits Prepare students for performances, ensemble participation, and ongoing progression in the Music Program Build positive and professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues Uphold the College’s values and commitment to child safety in all interactions You will bring Relevant tertiary qualification in Music or Music Education Demonstrated proficiency on clarinet and saxophone Experience teaching instrumental music to children and young people Strong communication skills and a professional, collaborative approach A current Working with Children Check or VIT registration A commitment to excellence in music education and alignment with the College’s values A collegial and supportive Music Department committed to high standards and ongoing growth A values aligned environment that prioritises child safety, wellbeing, and connection Opportunities to contribute to a well established and expanding Music Program Access to the College’s Employee Assistance Program Please apply as soon as possible, as applications will be reviewed upon submission.
