Construction Engineer – Nights | 4–6‑Month Contract | Sydney Metro Construction Engineer – Night Shift (ABN) 4–6‑Month Contract | Sydney Metro | 3–5 nights / week (Sun–Thu) Field Ready delivers utilities and civils projects across the Sydney Metro and partners with industry to build capable site teams. Role We're seeking a hands‑on Construction Engineer to support night works across utilities / civils sites. You'll coordinate crews and subcontractors, keep works aligned to drawings and permits, and uphold safety, quality, and program on site. Contract & Schedule Engagement: ABN contractor Term: 4–6 months Roster: 3–5 nights / week (Sunday–Thursday) Location: Sydney Metro (on‑site) Key Responsibilities Oversee night works to drawings, specs, permits, and SWMS. Coordinate subcontractors, materials, site access, and permits. Complete nightly diaries, QA checks, ITPs, and photographs. Track progress vs. program; escalation of risks and proposal of mitigations. Maintain site safety, environmental controls, and traffic interfaces. Liaise with supervisors, clients, and the operations team. Must‑Have Requirements 2+ years' Utilities & Civils construction experience (site or project engineering). Valid ABN and ability to invoice as a contractor. Proven reliability for night shifts and excellent communication. Competent with site paperwork / reporting and basic digital tools. Driver's licence & White Card. Nice to Have Exposure to road / water / power / telco night works. Traffic control tickets, RIW / utilities accreditations, AutoCAD / Bluebeam familiarity.
