Job Description As our new Senior Consultant, you will bring expertise in chemical regulations in Australia and New Zealand, covering industrial chemicals, therapeutic goods or agrochemicals, and possibly other Asia Pacific countries. You will coordinate and communicate across interdisciplinary teams, engage with clients and regulatory agencies, and provide regulatory and technical support in the preparation of submissions for a broad spectrum of chemical products, including industrial chemicals, consumer goods and agrochemicals. A strong customer‑service ethic and multitasking ability are vital for this role. Reporting to the Principal, Health Sciences in Australia, your role is based at Ramboll’s Melbourne Office. Responsibilities Professional excellence: provide strategic advice to clients that demonstrates depth of scientific knowledge and regulatory insight into chemicals registration compliance Demonstrate and clearly articulate an understanding of client needs and develop project scopes that meet commercial aims Produce a high‑quality work product, on time and within budget Prepare and submit notifications or registration dossiers to the authorities to ensure regulatory compliance Effectively manage multiple projects, deadlines, and budgets, working well under pressure Maintain constant awareness of sensitive information and data handled daily Stay current with changes in the regulatory landscape affecting Ramboll’s clients and maintain contacts with regulatory authorities Assess the impact of new regional regulations on the business and assist clients in implementing these new regulations Manage assigned projects/tasks providing critical thinking and thought leadership in your area of expertise Work with multi‑faced teams on projects under limited supervision, seeking guidance from senior staff when needed Model, promote, and demonstrate collegiality with all company employees Be a strong team player and customer‑oriented professional Qualifications 3–7 years of experience in chemical regulatory compliance in industrial chemicals, consumer products, therapeutic goods, or agrochemicals Scientific background, preferably with a degree in chemistry, biology or a related discipline Knowledge of Australian and New Zealand chemical regulations (e.g., AICIS, TGA, AVPMA, HSNO) Ability to support internal and external clients with technical and strategic consulting services Interest in business development Strong written and oral communication skills Good presentation skills and business sense Demonstrated problem‑solving skills Commitment to high standards for quality and excellence in technical work products Drive and personal initiative to keep learning and improving in the field Additional Information Ramboll develops innovative, scientifically sound solutions that help increase livability by reducing pollution and restoring natural environments.
