The opportunity to take charge of your career, starting with this role.HVO is laying the foundation for the future by investing in equipment, technology and our people so we consistently achieve our goals and contribute positively to the environment and the community.So, we are seeking a confident and enthusiastic person who share our values – Think Sharp, Dig In and Care - to join our high performing team.Reporting to the CHPP Senior Electrical Engineer, the Control Systems Engineer role will be responsible for managing the control systems across the coal handling and preparation plants sites.About the RoleManaging the control systems across the CHPP sites and continuously improving the control systems.Maintain, debug and update PLC code for the CHPP sites PLC systems.Maintain and update SCADA projects across the CHPP sites.Maintain Honeywell Production Manager delay and production reporting systems.Maintain wireless communications links to allow remote sites and equipment to communicate with the wider control system.Monitor and maintenance of networks to communicate with the wider site control system.Roster and LocationMonday to Friday professional rosterBased on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)About YouYou will have:Relevant qualification in Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent.Experience in control systems engineering in an industrial or mining environment.Experience with PLC and SCADA systems.Experience with the Allen Bradley ControlLogix platform.Experience with Aveva SCADA platform.Experience with Siemens/CTI PLC platform will be highly regarded.Experience with production and delay reporting systems.Desire to continually improve control systems with a focus towards best practise.Ability to work in a demanding environment with ability to prioritize tasks.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Working with external consultants and mentoring less experienced control system personnel.Maintain a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment and application of company values.Ability to build and foster strong working relationships within the CHPP department and across all site departments.Employee benefits include:minimum five weeks annual leavemarket competitive salarya safe and enjoyable workplace where everyone is respected valued and empoweredstructured training and development to support you progress your careereducation assistancea generous incentive programhealth and wellness reimbursement programpaid parental leavesalary sacrificing optionsprivate health insurance subsidiesEmployee Assistance Program (EAP).Did we mention the Hunter Valley offers a great lifestyle close to city services?If you're looking to unearth opportunities, we want to hear from youApplications close 7th July 2024Based on site at HVOHunter Valley Operations Location

About YouYou will have:Relevant qualification in Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in control systems engineering in an industrial or mining environment.
Experience with PLC and SCADA systems.
Experience with the Allen Bradley ControlLogix platform.
Experience with Aveva SCADA platform.
Experience with Siemens/CTI PLC platform will be highly regarded.
Experience with production and delay reporting systems.
Desire to continually improve control systems with a focus towards best practise.
