In Brisbane, our Contamination, Assessment, Remediation and Hydrogeology team is on the lookout for our next graduate in 2026 Based out of our Brisbane or Gold Coast office, and with a degree in Environmental Science / engineering or relevant science or engineering discipline (Geology or Hydrogeology) , your interest in getting out into the field on a wide variety of projects throughout Queensland and Northern NSW and beyond will serve you in good stead in this position. A little more about the role can be found below: Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Field oversight of contractors; assistance with field scope development, scheduling, budgeting; assistance with data compilation and interpretation; preparation of technical environmental reports for senior review; maintain safety training to conduct environmental contaminated sites work; active participation in industry bodies like ACLCA and ALGA to represent the GHD brand and participate in development opportunities. What you will bring to the team: Will graduate by December 2025 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental science or equivalent; Australian citizen or permanent resident; 0 to 2 years of experience in environmental consulting or similar; has a strong interest in chemistry, soil, geology, groundwater, contamination assessment, and remediation methods; knowledge of contaminated sites/pollution regulation and associated guidance, protocols, and guidelines; ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; must be proficient with Microsoft office; excellent writing and verbal communication is required to effectively express technical information to multiple audiences including subcontractors, clients, colleagues, etc.; strong technical writing, data analysis and interpretation skills; valid full driver’s licence and is comfortable with long distance and off-road driving (training will be provided).
