Due to continued growth, we’re seeking a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our high-performing maintenance team. Based in our well-equipped workshop, you’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet operating at peak performance through high-quality servicing, diagnostics, and repairs. As part of this commitment, Metro will provide financial assistance in upgrading your qualification to a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic. About you You're a skilled and reliable Light Vehicle Mechanic who takes pride in doing the job right the first time. You thrive in a busy workshop environment, work well both independently and as part of a team, and are always focused on safety and quality. You’re not just good with tools – you're a problem solver who understands the importance of keeping buses moving. You take initiative, stay organised, and communicate clearly with others around you. You’ll also bring: Proven experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy vehicles or diesel equipment. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to doing high-quality work A strong focus on workplace safety and compliance. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and contribute to a positive team culture.
