We are looking to recruit a “CAD Draftsman/CNC Machinist” to join our Special Projects build team in Perth on a fixed term contract basis, we offer a competitive remuneration package and career progression for the successful candidate. The primary responsibility is to provide engineering CAD and CAM design support to the Special Projects Build Team and machine parts on a 2D CNC Router. About the role Forms an integral part of the design team capturing and aiding in Part Design, Support, Modification and Drawing creation using SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Fusion 360. Implement and manage Drawing Updates and corrections during the manufacturing process. Maintaining and updating the SolidWorks database with respect to data integrity and parts/drawing revision control. Generation of design data for sub-contracted manufacturers eg, STEP files, Plot files, DXF files and Drawing Files. This will include data repository file management and co-ordination of parts library file for manufacturing of parts and assemblies. Material compliance in line with strict aviation regulations i.e. verifying drafted mechanical drawings are correct and correction to the build pack where required. Machining parts on a 2D CNC Router. Ensuring Compliance, including traceability requirements, of manufactured parts in accordance with OOPC and/or Xcalibur MITCOM processes. Be required to comply with all company HSEQ standards and measures. About you Experience working in the aviation industry. Minimum 5 years’ experience in design and modelling of components and assemblies, preferably in the aeronautical environment. Advanced level of experience in SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Fusion360. Demonstrated ability to produce detailed engineering drawings and design and modelling of new components and assemblies. Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing parts using Fusion 360 (or similar) on a 2D CNC Router. Manufacture parts using a lathe and hand tools. #J-18808-Ljbffr
