About the role This position is responsible for the design, delivery, and evaluation of high‑quality educational programs that support student learning and enhance the quality of clinical placements. You will identify opportunities to strengthen clinical teaching and learning and contribute to preparing students for safe, effective, and compassionate professional practice. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver innovative, high‑quality clinical education programs. Plan, implement, and evaluate evidence‑based clinical education across allied health disciplines including monitoring, tracking and reporting on relevant key performance indicators to ensure continuous improvement. Develop and facilitate engaging, up‑to‑date clinical education sessions for students and healthcare staff. Provide practical training and support in clinical skills and procedures, patient care, and professional behaviours and practices. Deliver constructive feedback and guidance to help students and supervisors. Monitor and assess student progress by evaluating their clinical skills, knowledge, and professional competence. Identify areas for improvement and develop individual learning plans. Identify and support students at risk of underperformance by collaborating with supervisors and the education team to implement targeted support strategies. Build and maintain effective partnerships with government, healthcare, education, and allied health stakeholders. Mentor clinical supervisors, educators and graduates to enhance teaching capacity across the allied health sector. Communicate effectively with education providers, clinical teams, and management to identify training needs and evaluate student performance. Identify gaps in clinical education and practice and contribute to quality improvement strategies across allied health services. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of student placements, training activities, assessments, and progress. Develop, update, and manage clinical education resources and materials. Actively engage in professional development and learning to remain current with clinical practice advancements and educational methodologies and emerging trends in allied health. Qualifications, skills & experience Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in Allied Health in accordance with the classification standards of a Level B Academic. Demonstrated clinical experience (2–3 yrs minimum) in an allied health setting with a strong understanding of evidence‑based practice and professional standards. Current Registration or professional accreditation with the relevant regulatory body or professional association (e.g. AHPRA or equivalent, as applicable to the discipline). Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision, mentoring teaching, or preceptorship role within clinical and/or academic settings. Well‑developed understanding of clinical education frameworks, assessment strategies, and competency‑based education, including the application of adult learning principles and clinical training standards. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams, engage students in active learning, and cultivate a positive, inclusive clinical education learning environment. Proven ability to design and deliver high‑quality education and teaching practices using a variety of modes, including face‑to‑face, online, and blended formats while incorporating contemporary teaching practices.
