Senior Policy Analyst / Advisor - Government Relations Navitas is a leading global education provider helping learners transform their lives through education. Job Description The Senior Policy Analyst / Advisor – Government Relations will develop policy positions on topics such as the tertiary education legislative framework, international education, and student visa policy. Responsibilities include conducting research, supporting evidence-based advocacy, and representing Navitas at sector and political forums. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Engagement and Government Relations, key duties include: Analyzing government policy impacts on the company's operations and objectives. Assisting in developing the company’s government relations strategy. Creating advocacy plans for government relations campaigns. Building and maintaining relationships with government officials, peak bodies, and policy influencers. Preparing submissions for government reviews and legislation, collaborating with stakeholders to shape Navitas’ policy positions. Working across the organization to promote initiatives that attract government support. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: A relevant degree with substantial experience, or extensive experience and expertise in tertiary education or complex regulatory environments. Knowledge of the Australian tertiary education sector, policies, and emerging trends. Experience in producing high-quality policy documents, briefings, and research. Proven ability to advise senior leaders and develop strategic relationships. Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills. Commercial acumen with creative problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively to develop policy reform strategies.
