On-site Posted 2 days ago Senior HVAC Estimator – Major Projects Division $130k–$180k + Super (Depending on Experience) We are partnering with a leading national mechanical contractor to recruit an experienced Senior HVAC Estimator for their Major Projects team. This role sits within a high-performing national division responsible for tendering and securing large-scale mechanical packages ranging from $20 million to $80 million across commercial, healthcare and data centre sectors. With a strong pipeline of major tenders and a reputation for delivering technically complex projects, this is an exceptional opportunity for an estimator who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and wants exposure to some of the country’s most significant builds. What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a HVAC/Mechanical Estimator within a mechanical contracting environment Strong background completing detailed take-offs for major mechanical packages Experience estimating large-scale projects ideally within the $20m–$80m range Excellent understanding of mechanical services, construction methodologies and D&C project delivery Strong commercial acumen and the ability to interpret drawings, specifications and engineering documentation High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet tender deadlines Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for major mechanical projects across commercial, healthcare and data centre sectors Undertake comprehensive take-offs and quantify mechanical systems and equipment Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and evaluate quotations Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and tender documentation Prepare tender submissions, methodology notes and clarifications Work closely with engineering, project management and drafting teams during bid phases Identify value engineering opportunities, project risks and competitive advantages Support handover to the delivery team following successful tender awards Why This Role?
