The Costume and Asset Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the organisation, maintenance, and distribution of the company's costume and prop inventory. This includes conducting an initial re-organisation of storage systems, implementing a functional cataloguing and tracking method, and ensuring costumes and props remain in excellent condition across multiple events. The role involves transporting items to and from performers and venues, performing basic sewing repairs and costume adjustments, managing weekly laundering and care of garments, and supporting leadership in the sourcing, ordering and creation of new costumes and props where required. The coordinator will take ownership of maintaining professional standards of organisation, asset condition, and accountability, while contributing to the creative visual development of the company. Reliability, organisation, basic repair skills and the ability to manage logistics are central to the role, with opportunities for increased responsibility and expanded hours as the company continues to grow. About The Company Lyons Production is WA's premier entertainment agency, providing dancers, performers and immersive creative talent for major events, festivals, venues and corporate productions. As we continue to expand our costuming and production capabilities, we are seeking a highly organised and creative team member who is passionate about wardrobe, costumes, aesthetics, and hands-on craft work. Hours 1–2 days per week as required (Minimum 6 hours per week) Likely Wednesday + Friday (flexible for the right candidate) Additional hours during peak seasons: Halloween, Christmas, NYE (Must be available in the week between Christmas and NYE). First 1–2 weeks will include additional hours for initial wardrobe organisation. Contract Period December – March. Likely extension beyond initial contract period for the right candidate. Likely increase of hours to a part time or even full time role in the future for the right candidate. Responsibilities Re-organise and optimise costume / prop storage system. Look after costume wardrobes at regular venues as well as Lyons main storage hub. Establish and maintain inventory tracking processes. Manage check-in / check-out of costumes and props. Pick up and deliver items to / from performers and venues. Conduct basic sewing repairs and item maintenance. Complete weekly laundering of costumes. Assist with ordering, sourcing and creating new costume and prop items. Monitor inventory condition and report missing / damaged items. Work closely with leadership on creative direction and styling needs. Requirements Valid driver's licence and personal vehicle. Basic sewing skills and ability to repair minor costume issues. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Reliable and able to self-manage tasks efficiently. Preferred Experience (Bonus) Costume design and sewing machine skills. Wardrobe / theatre / backstage experience. Fabrication or craft skills. Creative visual styling ability. Benefits Creative and collaborative work environment.
