We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead our onion and carrot packing facilities. This is a senior leadership role that requires strategic oversight, excellent communication, strong people management skills, and the ability to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. Role As Operations Manager, you will provide overall leadership across both factories and yards, working closely with Production Managers and the broader leadership team. You will develop a clear understanding of production capability, future sales requirements, and collaborate with factory teams to resolve challenges in capacity, crop supply, and workforce resourcing. Key responsibilities Develop a deep understanding of the production processes and capability of both factories including being able to run the factories if coverage is needed. Work with Production Managers to minimise packing costs whilst maximising crop recovery. Liaise with Sales Managers to understand order requirements and future sales expectations. Work closely with Production Managers to align production schedules with sales requirements, identifying potential constraints. Monitor production efficiency, crop outturns, quality metrics, and downtime data to identify improvement opportunities. Ensure contingency plans are in place for breakdowns, crop shortages, or staffing gaps. About you We are looking for a confident and capable leader who can balance strategic oversight with hands‑on involvement. Ideally, you will have: Proven leadership experience. Ability to problem‑solve in a calm, fast, concise and collaborative. A willingness to learn the operational aspects of both factories. Strong understanding of production and operational management. Previous experience in food processing, packing, or agricultural operations preferred but not required. Excellent communication and people management skills.
