Overview Electrical Foreman - Correction Centre Project Our client is a leading Tier One contractor with a reputation for excellence in large-scale construction projects. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Foreman to join our team on a new, high-profile Correction Centre Project north of Brisbane. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead a team and play a critical role in the successful delivery of a major infrastructure development. Responsibilities Leading and managing a team of electricians, apprentices, and laborers. Interpreting and implementing project plans, schematics, and specifications. Overseeing the installation of all electrical systems , including power distribution, lighting, security systems, and data networks. Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety , in strict compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations. Conducting regular safety talks and inspections to maintain a safe working environment. Managing project timelines and budgets and coordinating with other trades and the site management team. Identifying and resolving on-site issues and providing technical guidance to the team. Maintaining accurate daily logs, progress reports, and "as-built" drawings. Qualifications Current and valid Electrical Licence Minimum of 5 years of experience as a leading hand or foreman on commercial or industrial projects, with experience on secure or institutional sites being highly regarded. Exceptional knowledge of the NEC, local building codes, and safety standards. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
