Spearhead injury management and return-to-work strategies for Babcock's Marine business. Provide expert guidance on injury prevention and health management. About the Role Reporting directly to the Head of Health, Safety, Environment Quality and S, you will continue to develop and provide ongoing maintenance of the occupational health framework. As a leader in our business you’ll deliver the key occupation health management capabilities of injury management, return to work plans, fitness for work, psychosocial hazards and risk management. You’ll lead, coach, guide and mentor the Occupational Health Team. Your expertise will be instrumental in enabling our teams to manage injuries effectively, facilitate returns to work, conduct fitness assessments, and mitigate psychosocial hazards. You'll also provide invaluable guidance to staff and managers navigating health challenges, contributing to Babcock's broader HSEQ strategy through health monitoring programs, ergonomic assessments, and medical evaluations. Consider this as career enhancing for you where you’ll make a real impact on employee wellbeing and operational efficiency within a dynamic and supportive environment About you Ideally, you’ll have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Exercise Physiology, Exercise and Sport Science, or a related field with experience in an Injury Management and Health and Safety role in a similar industry. Ideally you will have a Cert IV in Safety or experience in Hygiene. Importantly you’ll have gained in‑depth knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices related to injury management and possess a current First Aid Certificate and strong understanding of workplace health and safety principles. You will also be an Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain).
