Reporting to the Director of People & Culture the Head of Payroll, Rostering and Compliance plays a critical role in supporting and overseeing the end to end payroll, rostering and reporting function for SBS. You will continue to evolve and transform our payroll and rostering function towards increased automation and self service whilst enhancing in person support and delivering amazing employee experiences to SBS employees. You will be someone who relishes a challenge, thrives on change and believes in the importance of quality processes to drive effective outcomes. Essential in this role is the ability to marry a highly process and compliance driven function with inspirational people management and a deep appreciate for the importance of customer service and quality resolutions. You will not be afraid to be hands on when needed, but understand the importance of delegation and engaging your team to get the right results. In return you will be joining an amazing and high performance team with a highly inclusive and engaged culture.Responsibilities of the role include:Oversight of the end to end payroll process and employee lifecycleOversight of the rostering and workforce management processManagement of a team of payroll, rostering, reporting and compliance specialistsMaintaining and enhancing the stability and integrity of the SBS payroll functionOwnership of the People & Culture reporting regime including quarterly and annual reportingEnsuring that the SBS People & Culture operations comply with all relevant, tax, payroll and employment regulationsEnsuring that the SBS rostering outputs are compliant with the SBS Enterprise AgreementContributing as a member of the P & C senior leadership teamVendor management of our payroll and rostering system providersAbout youTo be successful in this role you will need:Outstanding attention to detail and a meticulous commitment to payroll accuracyResiliency and adaptability in response to change and challengesA highly collaborative approach to problem solvingExcellent people management and leadership skillsHighly developed interpersonal and relationship management skillsDeep understanding of payroll and legislative compliance obligationsExperience with time and attendance managementExperience with the Aurion payroll system is desirable but not essentialFeel like you meet most, but perhaps not all the criteria listed?
