Clinical Nurse Consultant

Your new role: As the Clinical Nurse Consultant for Neurosurgery Outpatients, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and consultancy within a specialised, dynamic and patient‑centred environment by: Delivering expert clinical advice and leadership in the assessment, planning, and management of neurosurgical outpatients. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance clinical outcomes and service efficiency through innovative models of care. Driving quality improvement initiatives, evidence‑based practice, and service redesign to improve patient access and waitlist management. Providing education, mentorship, and clinical supervision to support capability development across the nursing workforce. Supporting the delivery of safe, compassionate and person‑centred care aligned with Metro South Health's values and Magnet®/Pathway to Excellence® frameworks. About you: You’ll bring advanced clinical expertise, innovation and leadership to this highly specialised role, with: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Advanced knowledge and clinical competence in neuroscience or neurosurgical nursing practice. Proven experience leading change and quality improvement initiatives in complex healthcare settings. Strong communication, negotiation and mentoring skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across disciplines. A commitment to continuous professional development, research translation and evidence‑based care. Demonstrated alignment with Metro South Health's ICARE2 values and person‑centred care principles.
