About the Role The Key Worker (TCP) reports directly to the Team Leader and supports them in meeting role requirements relating to Aboriginal ways of working, quality, compliance, and RAC’s strategic direction. The role is central to implementing a child’s or young person’s Targeted Care Plan and Cultural Support Plan through case management that supports their transition out of residential care or helps maintain and stabilise their current placement to prevent entry into residential care. Targeted Care Packages aim to ensure children and young people on statutory child protection orders receive culturally safe, flexible, innovative, and client-centred care. About You - Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Qualifications and Registrations A recognised qualification in Social Work, Community Services, or a related field (minimum Diploma), or working towards a qualification with relevant experience may be considered at an unqualified rate. Knowledge and skills Strong understanding of the local Aboriginal community, culture, intergenerational trauma, and its impacts on children and families. Knowledge of Aboriginal Cultural Support Plans and the supports required to maintain a child’s or young person’s cultural connection. Understanding of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005, DFFH case planning requirements, and frameworks such as Looking After Children and Cultural Support Plans. Well‑developed assessment, analytical and report‑writing skills to support culturally safe decision‑making. Effective communication, advocacy and interpersonal skills to work respectfully with Aboriginal children, families and carers. Ability to maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries and compliance with program, legislative and organisational requirements. Strong organisational and time‑management skills to manage competing demands in a fast‑paced environment. What We Offer Competitive pay and conditions based on the SCHADS Award – Level 4 Pay Point 1-4 depending on experience and qualifications. Salary packaging of $15,900 available for Part‑ or Full‑time employees.
