Provide specialist advice in relation to issues relating to the implementation of the Commission of Inquiry into the Tasmanian Government's responses to child sexual abuse in institutional settings (the CoI), Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse (the Royal Commission) and the Weiss Independent Review into former police officer Paul Reynolds (the Weiss Review). Period of Appointment 3 years Fixed Term Hours per fortnight Full Time, 73.5 hours per fortnight Duties As a member of the Division’s senior management team, provide leadership and direction in developing and managing the department's strategic and business framework, including the development of policies, systems and processes to support the delivery of services to the Tasmanian community. Such offences would include, but are not limited to: Arson and fire setting; Sexual offences; Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud); Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception); Violent crimes and crimes against the person; Malicious damage and destruction to property Trafficking of narcotic substance; Tertiary qualifications in a discipline relevant to policy and planning and/or management is highly desirable.
