Our aim is to bridge the gap between outstanding quality seafood, steaks and casual dining prices. They require a Chef to join their team in Crows Nest, NSW. Key Responsibilities Establishing daily, weekly and monthly routines to maintain and upkeep the Salmon & Bear kitchen cleanliness to the highest standards; Estimating food and labour costs; Managing the daily running of the kitchen in coordination with the Restaurant Manager and Front of House team; Managing the rostering of kitchen staff; Preparing and cooking menu items as per the Salmon & Bear food standards: Food quality and presentation; Grilling of fish - Crispy Skin, Poached inside, smokey flavour; Portion sizes and control; Food safety - day dotting and temperature control; FIFO stock rotation. Stock rotation and kitchen supply organisation; Training and coaching all kitchen team members; Working closely with the owners and kitchen staff on a daily operational basis in terms of menu planning, specials and promotions. Qualifications & Experience To be considered you will need a level of skill commensurate with a relevant AQF Diploma level or higher qualification and at least one year of relevant employment experience OR at least three years of relevant employment experience as a Chef. Compensation This is a full time role, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $80,000 - $90,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
