About The Role We are seeking to appoint a highly competent and experienced Library Technician to provide practical and operational support to our Learning Resources team, students and staff. This is a permanent part‑time (0.8125 FTE) role, commencing in Janurary 2026. The role works across the academic term weeks (38 weeks) plus an additional 1 week during term breaks. About You The Library Technician has a high degree of knowledge and experience in library management systems, and will undertake a comprehensive range of support functions to ensure the smooth running of the School’s Library and Learning Commons and will provide sound technical and administrative assistance to the Head of Learning Resources. In addition you will have a strong ability to provide a warm and welcoming environment and possess the following: Appropriate qualification (e.g. Diploma of Library and Information Services) or equivalent. Previous school environment experience directly relevant to this role would be highly regarded. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, colleagues and families. High level of ICT literacy skills (including word processing, database and spreadsheet applications) and ability to adapt to diverse programs. Highly developed knowledge and experience in the use of library management systems (preferably AccessIT). Experience in library routines and practices, including cataloguing. Why work for us?
