Golf Course Mechanic

The brand-new 6 star Palm Lake Pelican Waters GOLF CLUB are looking for a motivated and experienced Golf Course Mechanic to join our experienced team. About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Mechanic to join our maintenance team where you will be maintaining a diverse fleet of high-quality turf equipment (Toro and John Deere) that ensures that our 18-hole Greg Norman designed golf course is one of the best courses in Australia. This is a fixed term - six (6) month contract, 38 hour week on a Monday to Friday roster. This is based on our onsite workshop at newly renovated Pelican Waters Golf Course. Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent, you will have a rare opportunity to join our enthusiastic team, contributing to the success of the Golf Course and the experience of our dedicated golf Members and Guests. Responsibilities Ensure all vehicles and equipment are maintained and repaired on a timely basis, including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, sprayers, and small engines (2-stroke and 4-stroke). Prioritise and attend to urgent repairs of any description. Perform diagnostics and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Maintain accurate service records and inventory. Maintain a clean work environment at all times. Ensure safe operation of equipment is maintained at all times. Work with the Superintendent and team members to consistently improve the golf course, club grounds, maintenance facility and safety programs. Qualifications Certification in Automotive Mechanical or equivalent is essential. Knowledge of hydraulic systems, automotive electrical and welding. Experience in maintenance and general repairs. Reel grinding, back lapping, sharpening of blades and setting up equipment. Valid Queensland Driver's Licence. Previous experience in maintaining and repairing of golf carts is advantageous. High level communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team environment. The suitable applicant is subject to a pre-employment medical. Why Join Us?
