Clinical Nurse Consultant (Business Practice Improvement Officer) or Allied Health (Business Practice Improvement Officer), Nurse Grade 7/ HP4, Palliative Care Support Service, Cancer Care Services, Bundaberg or Hervey Bay Hospital - H2512WB We’re seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Business Practice Improvement Officer to support innovation, streamline processes, and enhance service delivery across our Palliative Care Support Service. Working closely with clinical and operational teams, you’ll lead quality improvement initiatives, optimise workflows, and support data‑driven decision‑making—ensuring our patients and their families receive the compassionate, high‑quality care they deserve. Your Opportunity: The purpose of this role is to combine high level clinical knowledge and understanding with the utilisation of data, information, and analytics to support in the development, implementation, and evaluation of a range of diverse projects and strategies designed to drive clinical and service improvement. Furthermore, this role provides education, training, and resources to improve the Palliative Care Support Service's workforce digital literacy, increase understanding and use of digital capabilities and clinical measurement and improve overall data and information quality in Palliative Care services. Preferred Qualifications: Mandatory possession of a nursing qualification from a registered tertiary institution or completion of an approved hospital training programme as a Registered Nurse and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practising certificate is essential. The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in a Health Practitioner Discipline and be registered with the Allied Health Professional Registrations Agency (AHPRA) or membership with the relevant allied health registration board and/or professional body. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties. Possession of context‑specific postgraduate qualification in nursing is highly desirable. Social Worker: Overseas qualified Social Work candidates require a “certification of eligibility” letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership. Our offer You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $120,998 p.a., comprising salary between $97,677 - $106,049 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7) or remuneration package value up to $115,949 p.a., comprising salary between $94,440 - $101,623 p.a. (HP4), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Permanent Part Time, 56 hours p.f.) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
