IT Audit and Compliance Specialist

Overview Act as the key liaison point between Internal Audit and the Information Management and Technology Division (IMTD) to implement audit recommendations over a fixed-term full‑time period until 31 December 2026. This role is a detailed IT audit and compliance specialist in the Business Services Branch, focusing on managing the implementation of audit actions for a 12‑month period. Responsibilities Preparing and writing detailed briefs and reports for senior management. Reviewing and providing feedback on audit reports from Internal Audit and VAGO to ensure clarity, accuracy and completeness. Managing audit and compliance activities for the division from conception to completion, ensuring efficient implementation of action items. Actively engaging with stakeholders, including the internal audit team, to ensure alignment and understanding of audit and policy requirements and recommendations. Coordinating meetings between stakeholders and facilitating discussions to address audit findings and policy compliance issues. Identifying opportunities for improving audit and policy processes. Maintaining and updating documentation related to policy, audit findings, recommendations and compliance actions. Providing regular updates to senior management on the status of audit recommendations and delivering well‑considered assurance and policy advice. Supporting the development and implementation of IT audit actions to improve internal controls and ensure compliance. Ensuring policies are developed, reviewed and maintained regularly, are clear, comprehensive and aligned to standards and organisational best practice. Drafting policy proposals with IMTD branches, with supporting briefs and assessing potential impacts of proposed policies. Attributes Reporting to the Manager of the Business Management Services team, the role requires a strong IT background, the ability to prepare clear and concise briefs and detailed reports for senior management, and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. The position focuses on audit and compliance processes through supporting the division in implementing actions to address audit findings, rather than performing audits.
