Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) Coaches Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) Coaches work with a caseload of schools to support the implementation of the SWPBS framework, developing consistent whole‑school systems and promoting positive behaviour. About the Department The Department of Education supports Victorians to build prosperous, socially engaged, happy, and healthy lives by fostering lifelong learning, healthy development, strengthening families, and equipping people with 21st‑century skills. About the Division Located in the Wellbeing and Engagement Branch, Student Wellbeing and Engagement Division, South‑Western Victoria Region, SRS, this role works closely with education area teams and key central office program areas to promote regional and statewide consistency and lead professional practice and coordination. About the Role SWPBS Coaches support schools to implement the SWPBS framework, build consistent whole‑school systems, and promote positive behaviour. Attributes Good understanding of the organisational issues and pressures faced by school leaders Appropriate knowledge and expertise in guiding whole‑school change initiatives Confidence and success in working with a variety of stakeholders, including school, area and divisional leadership, principals, teachers, support staff, students, families, and the local school community Ability to promote effective team meetings at the school level and provide ongoing support and technical assistance to school‑level SWPBS leads Qualifications and Experience Essential: Relevant tertiary qualification in a discipline relevant to the implementation of evidence‑based school practices Desirable: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching This role requires frequent travel to schools and offices; a Victorian driver’s licence is required. A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required.
