(HEO5) $80,118 - $89,085 salary scale per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Multiple fixed-term, full-time positions available until December 2025

The HR Operations team provides University wide HR Services including the issuing of compliant employment offers and contracts, coordination of casual engagements, coordination of titleholder engagements and renewals, administration of Scholarships and employee lifecycle processing.

Working under general direction the HR Officer will be responsible for the provision of HR operational services including the coordination of end-to-end employment contractual arrangements for fixed term, continuing and casual staff; the delivery of Faculty based academic administrative processes and supporting hiring managers for contract renewals and direct appointments. This role will provide advice and support on HR processes, interpretation of relevant policies and procedures, and the application of the Enterprise Agreement where it relates to HR operational processes.

To be successful you will need:

  1. Demonstrated ability to apply work independently, apply sound judgement and problem solving in the application of HR policies, procedures, guidelines and systems.
  2. Extensive knowledge of HR practices and HRIS systems including experience in providing HR operational services and support in a complex environment.
  3. Demonstrated experience communicating both verbally and in writing in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client centric results.
  4. Proven ability to influence outcomes in the delivery of procedurally compliant services.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and to pre-determined timelines.
