What is your role? You will lead the design and documentation of fire protection systems, including both wet and dry systems such as Automatic sprinkler systems, fire detection and alarm systems, and hydrant and hose reel systems, and special hazard system design for mission critical projects guiding projects from concept through to construction. You will work closely with architects, project managers, builders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated design solutions. Your work will ensure compliance with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC), and local authority requirements. You will also conduct site inspections and collaborate with contractors during construction to maintain quality and compliance. Supporting risk assessments and contributing to fire engineering strategies will be key to ensuring life safety and property protection. You will engage directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver innovative, tailored fire protection solutions that meet both regulatory requirements and performance goals. In addition, you'll mentor and support junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and promoting technical excellence across the team. Gain insights from industry leaders About You Educational Background: A tertiary qualification in Fire Protection engineering (or related discipline). Experience: 4-6+ years of fire protection engineering experience within the Australian Building Services industry, with demonstrated expertise in delivering projects from early concept design through to construction completion. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of fire protection systems design (wet, dry, and detection), hydraulic calculations, coordination with other services, and an in-depth understanding of relevant codes and standards (AS 2419, AS 2118, AS 2441, AS 2941, AS 1670, BCA/NCC). Revit capabilities. Attributes: Excellent problem‑solving skills, clear communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative, proactive approach to project delivery. Why ADP Consulting?
