Financial Controller, Chief Finance Officer Services, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, Queensland Health An exciting opportunity currently exists for you to join the Chief Finance Officer Services as a Financial Controller. You will provide leadership and direction in relation to the Financial Management, Accounting and Reporting Services team of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, who have responsibility for financial reporting, taxation and treasury management, to ensure that the Health Service meets its statutory reporting requirements, complies fully with the Financial Accountability Act 2009, The Hospital and Health Board Act 2011 and other relevant legislation. About your opportunity: Be responsible for the development, maintenance, implementation and compliance with financial management policies, procedures and work instructions, including delegations and the supporting systems associated with these. Manage the financial and management accounting function of the HHS including the preparation of all statutory financial accounting and performance reports that are required from time to time. Establish, develop and monitor performance targets and indicators. Undertake financial analysis and assessment of performance and prepare reports and respond to ad-hoc enquiries on financial matters and financial sustainability/viability as required by the HHS, its Board and other stakeholders as directed by the Chief Finance Officer (CFO).
