The Solution Architect will be expected to perform the following responsibilities: Architect, design and document technical solutions as part of project deliverables and to develop the overall knowledge repository. Perform thorough systems impact assessments, covering all functional and non-functional aspects. Identify solutions/ product options, and perform holistic analysis to logically derive the recommendations. Develop and maintain relevant architecture artifacts and documents, such as the solution diagrams, data model, integration design, decision logs and tech debts, etc. Maintain good documentation standards, which are alignment to our templates and frameworks. Ensure technology solutions are aligned to our architecture principles, data compliance and IT security standards. Follow the solution design methodology and milestones, help us improve it with your contributions. Collaborate to provide technical support and guidance to the business analysts, technical specialists and all other project stakeholders. Present to and engage with the stakeholders, to promote the solution, receive feedback and make updates. Own the design for the purpose of solution alignment and assurance, throughout the lifecycle of the project. Along with the above, the usual activities and deliverables, which are expected from an involved and experienced architect. The Solution Architect is expected to have the following experience and skills: Preferably at least 5 years of experience in the role of solution architecture. At least 3 years of experience in the Electricity Distribution and/or Transmission sector. At least 2 years of experience working for an Energy Utility in Australia. Tertiary qualifications in IT/Computer Science or Power System Engineering. Understanding of technology, processes and frameworks for Network Billing, Customer Information, Meter Data Management, Meter Management and NEM Market Transactions. Experience in implementing solutions involving Itron products (IEE, UIQ and MTS) and SAP (S4/HANA, ISU and MPM). Experience of integration architecture and patterns, APIs and integration platforms (such as WebMethods and Oracle Fusion). Experience in leveraging UML and similar modelling notations for solution design, documentation and presentation. Ability to translate complex technical information, such as integration patterns and data flows, into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences. Presentation development and delivery abilities, with the capacity to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including both technical teams and business users.
