Join our dynamic team to be a part of something truly impactful We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to appoint to the position of Deputy Head of the Physiotherapy Department. This is a diverse and rewarding role for someone who has their eye on leadership opportunities. No two days will be the same as you coordinate the operations of the department across both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role will challenge you, but you will receive opportunities to develop the physiotherapy profession, as well as your own human factor skills in leadership, followership, and communication within a secure and supportive work environment. This is for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, and Fixed Term Part Time appointments. Fixed Term appointment will be made with possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. What is our Deputy Head of Department Physiotherapy role? As the Deputy Head of Department, the successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the Physiotherapy Department of the Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group (SCGOPHCG), which is part of the North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS). The appointee will assist the Head of Department (HoD) with ensuring physiotherapy services are provided in‑line with health service objectives, policies and procedures, and physiotherapy professional standards. We are looking for a person who is dynamic, energetic, and confident in providing relatively independent operational oversight in the context of the HoD’s responsibility for two physical sites (OPH and SCGH). The successful candidate will be a timely and responsible communicator who can elevate relevant issues and concerns to the HoD appropriately. This selection process will initially be used to fill a permanent full‑time vacancy within the SCGOPHCG Physiotherapy Department located at Osborne Park Hospital. This process may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then another suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
