Oncology Pharmacist – Slade Pharmacy, Icon Cancer Centre Southport – Icon Group Key Details Employment Type: Permanent, part-time Shift Information: 45-hours a fortnight, Monday to Wednesday. Location: Slade Pharmacy Southport, inside Icon Cancer Centre Southport. Experience: Minimum 2-years Pharmacist experience in community pharmacy OR 1-year in hospital pharmacy. Hospital pharmacy experience is strongly preferred. Step into the field of oncology pharmacy where your skills are not only valued but vital to treatment outcomes. What You’ll Do As an Oncology Pharmacist, your role goes far beyond dispensing. You’ll be a key contributor to complex cancer treatment plans, directly influencing patient outcomes through expert medication management and clinical insight. Deliver high-level clinical pharmacy services in oncology, including medication review, patient counselling, and treatment optimisation. Apply advanced professional judgement to complex oncology cases, supporting evidence‑based care across the patient journey. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to a cohesive and patient‑centred cancer care environment. Provide expert advice on oncology protocols, treatment regimens, and supportive care strategies. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance, and research activities within the oncology setting. Shift Information 45‑hours a fortnight roster. 7.6‑hour shifts every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Shift times can be negotiated. About You You’re an experienced Pharmacist eager to expand your skills and knowledge in oncology pharmacy. Community Pharmacists with clinical aptitude may be considered, but hospital-trained candidates are highly desirable due to the complexity of oncology transitions. Permanent Australian working rights. Current AHPRA general registration, with no restrictions on practice. Minimum 2‑years Pharmacist experience in community pharmacy OR 1‑year in hospital pharmacy. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and manage interactions with doctors and multidisciplinary teams. Desirable Skills & Experience Experience in clinical and/or oncology pharmacy. Hospital pharmacy experience.
