Veterinarian - Emergency

An opportunity exists for an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our Gosford team on a permanent PT, FT, casual or locum basis; Ideally 20-36hrs a week. Why Would You Want To Work For Us? Clinic Set Up and Support You will have access to Australia's largest network of Specialists and Emergency veterinarians and we are the Central Coast's longest established Emergency Care facility. Our toys include endoscopy, ventilators, ultrasonography, radiology and a full surgical suite. There is support and back-up from our on-site Criticalist and very experienced Emergency Clinicians. There is 24-hour support from our network so you can practice at the level you are comfortable at and enjoy, knowing we've got your back, even at 2am. The network includes Internal Medicine, Surgery, Critical Care, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Radiology / Imaging and Dermatology. Our sister clinic in Sydney has advanced imaging capabilities for those cases that require, a short one hour drive away, and we have ambulance transfer facilities if needed. About the Role Emergency Veterinarian to work across a rotating roster of nights and weekends and some Public Holidays on a shared basis – no vaccinations or dentals in sight 20-36hrs per week – shifts vary between 3-12 hours in length. Social events – if you want a work community, we've got one. What We Are Looking For The ideal applicant will have at least 4 years of experience. We need someone motivated, able to work efficiently and independently, who is committed to patient care, able to communicate well, and shares a vision for a collaborative working environment, where referring veterinarians and pet owners receive personal gold standard service. Surgical skills/ interest are valued but not essential as there is support from the team.
