Job Title: Emergency Planning TrainerLocation: MelbourneEmployment Type: Permanent Full Time About Us: Risk 2 Solution is a trusted provider of emergency planning and training services, dedicated to ensuring the safety and preparedness of our clients across Australia. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Training Consultant to join our team on a permanent, full time basis. This is strictly a Melbourne based position. The Role: Delivering training programs, including Warden and Chief Warden Training, Critical Incident Management, Fire Extinguisher Training, and Evacuation Exercises. Conducting annual assessments of client’s emergency planning services, preparing written reports with observations and recommendations aligned to Australian Standards. Completing and sending detailed reports for all training and consulting activities to clients. Performing site audits to assess evacuation diagrams, marking up changes and additions for updates as needed. Familiarising yourself with each client’s site and unique requirements and tailoring presentation templates to each client. Regional travel, long distance driving and occasional overnight stays may be required for some of our clients. Booking in training and exercises for clients currently on contract (all information can be located in the CRM). Liaising with clients on their training and exercise requirements. Additional Emergency Planning Responsibilities: Developing and reviewing client Emergency Management Plans and Procedures. Facilitating tabletop exercises and scenario-based drills to test emergency preparedness as required. Providing advice on emergency control organization (ECO) structures and roles. Conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation strategies. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 1 year experience in delivering emergency planning training (warden training, evacuation exercises, fire safety, critical incident management). Working knowledge of Australian Standards related to emergency planning and response. Excellent report‑writing skills with the ability to provide clear, actionable recommendations. Strong communication and presentation skills to engage diverse audiences. Ability to conduct site audits, assess evacuation diagrams, and develop emergency plans with attention to detail. A proactive, self‑motivated approach and the ability to manage your time across a workweek. Must have your own car and laptop.
