As a dental assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our orthodontic specialists in providing exceptional patient care and delivering the best possible outcomes. This is a full-time position, offering a collaborative and rewarding work environment. Driver's licence required and successful candidates will need to be able to travel to either the Macleod or Croydon practice depending on rostering requirements. What you'll be doing Assisting the orthodontist during procedures by passing instruments, mixing materials, and maintaining a clean and organised work area Greeting patients, taking patient histories, and ensuring a positive patient experience Sterilising and maintaining dental equipment and instruments Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring all necessary materials are available Providing post-treatment instructions and education to patients Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation Collaborating with the wider dental team to ensure the smooth operation of the practice What we're looking for On the job training will be provided and no experience is necessary. For applicants applying without experience, you will have the option to undertake your TAFE Certificate III in Dental Assisting qualification as part of the position. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and the dental team Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain meticulous patient records Proficiency in sterilisation procedures and the safe handling of dental equipment A passion for providing exceptional patient care and a commitment to continuous learning Previous experience in an orthodontic setting would be highly regarded What we offer At Designer Orthodontics, we are committed to supporting the professional development and well‑being of our team.
