Program Officer - Gifted and Talented Selection Branch: Student Assessment and Reporting Division: System and School Performance. Salary: Level 5, $105,167 - $114,938 per annum (pro‑rate) (PSCA 2024). Work Type: Permanent – Full Time. Location: East Perth. Closing Date: 2025‑12‑16 4:30 PM. This is a permanent full‑time position commencing January 2026. The Student Assessment and Reporting Branch sits within the System and School Performance Directorate whose function is to: develop, disseminate and support departmental policies and frameworks related to performance, research and accountability collect, analyse and provide performance and statistical information to meet planning, reporting and resource allocation requirements and enhance departmental decision making provide information and support to external agencies and the wider community about public schools manage the On‑Entry Assessment program, Reporting to Parents (RTP), the application and selection processes for Gifted and Talented programs, the Online Incident Notification System (OINS) and the administration of Notices of Arrangements Role As Program Officer – Gifted and Talented Selection you will assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and guidelines related to the Gifted and Talented Selective Arts Program. You will provide advice to parents and information to schools about Secondary Selective Entrance Gifted and Talented Arts Programs. Join our team and support the Principal Consultant in the key processes related to arts student identification and selection. In this role you will answer telephone enquiries, prepare correspondence and briefing notes, recruit moderators, and coordinate the planning and preparation of venues and locations used as testing centres. Demonstrated well‑developed written communication skills, including experience in the preparation of reports and briefing notes. Demonstrated well‑developed skills in data interpretation and reporting, including the ability to analyse trends and provide recommendations.
