This position leads the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist obstetric and gynaecological services to patients and promotes patient safety and quality of care. It provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers. In collaboration with the Head of Department and other Consultants, you will work to achieve national, state and South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) performance standards and targets and work within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the SMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee. The successful applicant, as a senior Consultant in the team, will also have the opportunity to apply for the Head of Department position, which will be advertised in 2026.
