Senior Geotechnical Engineer Location: Adelaide CBD Salary: $70.96 + Super Contract: Full-Time, 6 Months
Join a well-respected Government agency in the heart of Adelaide as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in geotechnical engineering and make a significant impact on vital water and wastewater infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Act as an experienced practitioner in geotechnical matters, providing expert technical support across the corporation. Engage in high-level investigations, design, review, and advisory services related to water and wastewater standards. Compliance Assurance: Uphold the integrity of the Corporate Compliance Framework by adhering to all relevant legislation, regulations, and policies, including the Work Health and Safety Act and the Code of Ethics for the South Australian Public Sector. Safety First: Champion safety in all aspects of design and execution. Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety, ensuring that health and safety risks are minimized throughout the asset lifecycle. Geotechnical Design Support: Collaborate closely with the Principal Engineer, Geotechnical, to enhance the capabilities of the Geotechnical team, ensuring that safety principles are embedded in all engineering activities. About You: Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering is essential, along with a comprehensive understanding of geotechnical procedures and practices in the water industry. Expertise: Demonstrated experience in geotechnical engineering with a solid foundation in safety and compliance practices.
