The Role We have a few exciting opportunities available at our TAFE Queensland Bracken Ridge Campus, outlined below: one (1) xPermanent full-time position available to join ourElectrical Educational Delivery team; one (1) xPermanent full-time position and one (1) xTemporary position available to join ourHVAC and Refrigeration Educational Delivery team. In these roles, you’ll be supported by an experienced and passionate team, working under the guidance of the Business Manager to provide high-quality, industry-relevant training that makes a real difference. The positions are based primarily at Bracken Ridge however, you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses. SkillsTech Region frequently recruits educators for both short-term and long-term vacancies. This process will establish a suitability pool for up to 12 months, which may be used to fill future permanent and temporary opportunities as they arise. Four (4) weeks recreation leave (accrued annually) Five (5) weeks Non-Attendance Time programmed annually for preparation Paid overtime arrangements may be available, according to operational requirements, with generous compensation 12.75% Superannuation and Salary packaging options available Financial assistance towards relocation expenses may be available Professional development, study assistance and support to return to industry for currency and competency purposes Wellbeing initiatives and social responsibility programs Access to Employee Assistance Program Access to private health corporate plans and corporate discounts (e.g. Fitness Passport, Apple products, Dell products, Lenovo products) Comprehensive Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) support options Recognition and reward programs, including annual awards and years-of-service milestones Pride Network for LGBTQIA+ employees and allies Free car parking Mandatory Requirements Applicants must possess UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and/or UEE32211 Certificate III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent, and the following: possession of current relevant licences (ARC licence type “RAC01 - Refrigerant handling licence” as well as QLD Restricted Electrical Licence or a QLD Electrical Licence); current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided; current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided; evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment. Additionally, to become a TAFE Queensland teacher you must hold, or be willing to obtain, a qualification in adult education. Primarily this qualification is TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent. Please note applicants need not necessarily possess teaching experience, as the right candidate may be trained and developed through coaching, mentoring and partnering. Importance is placed on possession of the appropriate qualifications, industry experience and the right attitude.
