This is will turn into an autonomous management role where you will be responsible for all organisation and scheduling involved with spreading and Summer and Winter hay production. This role requires someone dedicated and committed to ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities for the Trainee Manager role include, but are not limited to: All aspects of hay-making – mower conditioning, raking, baling large squares, loading and carting off the paddock, etc. All aspects of manure spreading – loading, carting, and spreading utilising Fliegel 30T Tow Behind Spreader, etc. Preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs – Fendt tractors, variety of implements including Massey XD balers, rakes, mower conditioners, Kenworth truck Organising and scheduling all processes – hay making and manure spreading throughout both summer & winter hay crops Managing staff – up to 9 staff members during the busy season Key Qualities Having a solid background in Agriculture, hay-making experience will be hugely advantageous Being very mechanically minded Working autonomously under external management direction Being self-motivated, organised, and efficient Having excellent communication skills Being able to lead & organise staff Having strong attention to detail & able to maintain accurate records This is a long-term position in a thriving agricultural business who are very team orientated. There is shared singles accommodation available on site and all meals, utilities, vehicle, fuel, phone is provided.
