The Role Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the RTO Manager holds full accountability for the governance, compliance and performance of the Registered Training Organisation. You will ensure the RTO operates in full and ongoing compliance with the VET Quality Framework, ASQA Standards, AVETMISS and funding body requirements, while maintaining strong audit readiness and continuous improvement practices. This role requires a leader who is comfortable owning risk, strengthening systems, and providing assurance to executive leadership — while also supporting high‑quality, culturally appropriate training delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Provide executive‑level leadership and accountability for RTO compliance, governance and performance. Ensure full compliance with ASQA Standards, the VET Quality Framework, AVETMISS and all funding requirements. Lead audit readiness , internal audits, regulatory responses and continuous compliance monitoring. Maintain and strengthen RTO policies, procedures, systems and quality frameworks.
Oversee funding agreements , reporting, acquittals and performance outcomes. Ensure training delivery , assessment and validation practices meet regulatory standards. Lead RTO risk management , compliance reporting and executive briefings. Provide strong people leadership , supervision and capability development for RTO staff.
Oversee RTO budgets , forecasting and financial accountability in collaboration with the CEO.
About You
You will be a senior RTO professional who brings: Extensive experience in RTO leadership with a strong compliance and audit focus. In‑depth knowledge of ASQA Standards, the VET Quality Framework and audit processes. Demonstrated success leading RTOs through audits, regulatory reviews or rectifications. Strong governance, risk management and quality assurance capability.
Experience
managing funding contracts, reporting and regulatory obligations. Confident executive‑level communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proven people leadership experience and the ability to lead high‑accountability teams. A proactive, detail‑driven and solutions‑focused approach.
A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain) and National Police Clearance.
Experience
working within Aboriginal organisations, community‑controlled services or complex regulatory environments will be highly regarded.
