Outcare is a leading provider of services across the justice, child protection and family support systems in Western Australia. We support people experiencing mental health issues, family and domestic violence, the impacts of trauma and intergenerational disadvantage, vulnerable housing and a range of other complex issues. Outcare particularly focuses on these issues across the justice and child protection systems either through working to address the factors leading people into these systems, diverting them from entering or assisting them when they are in. Outcare is embarking on a period of organisational transformation through its recently launched Outcare 2028 project. You will be working with the whole family addressing client-centered needs. Outcare is delivering the Thrive program services to the Perth metropolitan area, Bunbury and Albany. The program aims to support Aboriginal housing and individuals in the public housing system, particularly those in need of social and economic support with a strong focus on early intervention. Providing a key role in helping Tenants develop strategies to grow their capacity and resilience, whilst building individual life skills supporting ongoing maintenance of their tenancies. What you’ll need: Effective organisational and time management skills to prioritise work and meet deadlines. Sound word processing and computing skills in Windows systems, particularly Microsoft Office programs. Current Working with Children Card. Current First Aid HLTAID009 or willingness to obtain. A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check. Proven capacity to work independently as well as with a team. Experience in working with vulnerable groups with diverse linguistic backgrounds and complex needs, in supporting the clients for a better life. Demonstrated contemporary understanding and attitude of homelessness and tenancy issues. Knowledge and experience working within the community services sector.
