Volunteer Surf Therapy Mentor - Mornington Peninsula About the Volunteer Surf Therapy Mentor Role: We have a general need for mentors to join our team and collaborate with qualified surf therapists to bring our surf therapy programs to life As a mentor, you'll be paired with a young person (aged 8‑18) who may be facing mental health challenges, social isolation, or a disability. Your mission is to build trust, facilitate fun, offer support, and create a safe, inclusive space for growth both in and out of the waves over 6 sessions. Responsibilities Build trust and connection with a young person. Facilitate fun, supportive surf sessions and create a safe inclusive space for growth both in and out of the waves. Empower young people to overcome challenges and grow confidence. Commitment We value any amount of time you can contribute. Ideally, we ask for a minimum commitment of 6 sessions, each 3 hours long. If you can’t commit to these times, don’t worry We always need mentors for occasional sessions, our Surf Clubs, and events. Environment: Outdoors on the beach and in the water at Point Leo. If you have a driver’s licence and can assist, we also need drivers to help transport young people to and from the sessions.
