Great Keppel Island Hideaway is a unique island resort located on the stunning shores of the Southern Great Barrier Reef. We offer a relaxed, barefoot holiday experience for guests of all ages — and now, we’re looking for a motivated, customer-focused individual to join our front-of-house reception team. The Role As our Receptionist, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests — greeting arrivals, assisting with bookings, providing island information, and ensuring a warm and memorable welcome every time. This is a live-in role, ideal for someone who thrives in a close-knit team and embraces island life. Key Responsibilities Managing guest check-ins and check-outs Handling reservations and general enquiries (phone, email, in person) Coordinating daily transport schedules (boat/ferry arrivals & departures) Providing outstanding customer service throughout the guest experience Liaising with housekeeping, maintenance, and kitchen teams Managing point-of-sale and basic administrative duties What We’re Looking For Minimum 1 year of receptionist or front-of-house experience Strong communication and organisational skills A friendly, proactive, and professional demeanour Confidence working independently and as part of a team Sound computer literacy (booking systems, Microsoft Office, etc.) Willingness to adapt to a remote, island-based lifestyle Please Note You must have Australian permanent working rights Working holiday visas will not be considered A minimum 12-month commitment is required 18 years and over only Perks of the Position Live and work in a tropical paradise Accommodation and meals included in package Tight-knit and supportive team environment Breathtaking sunsets, turquoise waters, and beach days on your doorstep Ready to swap traffic lights for palm trees?
